The North Carolina Chapter of the Special Libraries Association will host a personal branding workshop on June 21st from 3pm – 5pm at the Research Triangle Park Conference Center (http://www.rtp.org/park-life/conference-center) located at 12 Davis Drive Research Triangle Park, NC 27709.
Led by Chris Olson, an expert in developing and managing the brands of libraries, information services and knowledge management groups, this session covers the basic components of a personal brand and provides insights into what works and what doesn’t. Chris has been marketing and communicating the value of information services for nearly 30 years with her firm, Chris Olson & Associates. She has a full roster of clients who rely on her abilities, resources and advice to guide their brands successfully. This year Chris has been named a Fellow of SLA in recognition of her contributions to and leadership in the profession.
Job seekers, independent researchers, embedded information professionals, knowledge workers seeking career advancement, students about to enter the workforce, retired professionals contemplating part-time work, and others are sure to find Crafting A Personal Brand to be an easy, fun, and informative 2 hour session.
Following the workshop, we will reconvene at 6pm at Mez (http://www.mezdurham.com/) for networking and cocktails, followed by dinner at 7pm.
